Shower Strike is our annual fundraiser where volunteers across the globe unite and vow not to shower until they have each raised at least $1,000 toward clean water systems. This nationally recognized campaign enables anyone to make a big impact in a short time. Last year’s event raised $135,000, and our goal this year is $150,000, all of which will go directly to our water systems for people in desperate need.

Dates: The 2017 Shower Strike online campaign starts on April 22nd (Earth Day) and ends on Saturday, April 29th. Company Sponsorship and Matching incentives not only leverage their contributions but also amplify their visibility through our viral fundraising model.

Presenting sponsor logo will appear with Shower Strike logo on all materials, including (but not limited to) campaign website (ShowerStrike.org), company website (wellawareworld.org), email announcements, social media banners and posts, and TV and radio press coverage. Presenting sponsor will also receive water well naming/dedication privilege- a new water system will be named for you, and you will receive photos of your dedicated system.

On the fourth day of Shower Strike, we make a huge announcement that there is a new matching incentive. The Match Donor will have exclusive sponsorship presence on all campaign outreach several times during the day of the Shower Strike Match announcement- via email campaigns, Facebook posts (boosted), Twitter and Instagram. Match incentive Company/Donor information will be will also be delivered to our hundreds of participants to also share throughout their networks. Match day during shower strike has seen an increase of both website traffic and donations of more than 100%.
