Kelelwa is a community of about 2,000 people in Baringo County, Kenya. There are 4 schools in the area, serving about 600 students. Their community borehole was built in 1947, and has not been producing water since 2011. The community was relying on raw water from the Molo river; causing several water related diseases.
Well Aware worked with the community of Kelelwa to repair the pump, replaced the faulty pipes and equipment, and conducted community training and management of the system.
