Kiliku Primary school is located in a small village in Makueni, Kenya that is at risk of shutting down due to lack of clean water. They currently rely on unsafe water from a river around 2.5 kilometers away. Many of the children are unable to attend because they are sick, often related to the unclean water. The community is struggling with a number of diseases including cholera, typhoid, malaria and amoeba.
Well Aware can improve the health and futures of the 400 students and 13 teachers currently enrolled, and by providing a lasting water supply, we can also serve the many more children who will be able to attend, as well. With Well Aware's intervention, water storing and UV purification systems will help this community's students flourish.
