Shower Strikers from many parts of the world joined together and vowed not to shower to raise funds for clean water for those who have none. Launching on World Water Day, March 22nd, more that 150 people said they are going to stop showering until they raised their goal amounts to build clean water systems in rural Kenya.
This was Well Aware's 6th annual Shower Strike fundraiser, and the team of courageous volunteers collectively raised more than $135,000 in just two weeks. With this funding, Well Aware will be able to construct three new water systems, serving more than 9,000 people who have been struggling with unsafe water or no water at all.
We are overwhelmed with gratitude for everyone's efforts for this fundraiser, your incredible generosity, and your dedication to getting clean water to those who have none.
We appreciate you so very much. And, so do the thousands of people whose live you changed.
