Daaba, Kenya

In October of 2011, Well Aware restored a broken borehole and additionally equipped it with a solar-powered pump. Because of this restoration, the Daaba Center community experienced a period of population growth due to access to clean water. Due to this growth, the community requested an expansion to their existing water system.

In 2019, per the community's request, the Well Aware team traveled back to Daaba to add another community water point at the clinic. Additionally, Well Aware made repairs to the existing water storage tank in January of 2020 because of damage caused by elephant movement in the area. Now the entire community is adequately served , and the community can continue to grow and prosper.

Population: 9,000 people.

Completion Date: 2011; expanded in 2019; repaired January of 2020
