Well Aware Welcomes Sarah Andrews as Chief of Staff
Austin, Texas, September 22, 2023 – Award-winning international nonprofit Well Aware has announced Sarah Andrews as its new Chief of Staff based in Austin, Texas. Andrews brings a high level of experience in the nonprofit industry where she’s worked to help various organizations effectively communicate brand voice, maximize social impact and strengthen the performance of programs. Andrews will lead the Well Aware team on its mission to expand access to clean water by partnering with communities and providing resources needed to run and maintain water systems.
“I’m honored and thrilled to join the Well Aware team, especially since I’ve long admired and aligned with the organization’s work. I first heard of Well Aware more than 10 years ago when they launched their very-first Shower Strike campaign and was immediately drawn to their innovative and community-driven approach,” said Sarah Andrews. “I’m eager to work with our exceptional team to further scale Well Aware’s operations, drive development, and lead our mission to ensure that every person and community in East Africa has access to clean water.”
Andrews most recently led marketing and philanthropic resource development as the vice president of strategy and development at CATCH Global Foundation, a nonprofit providing health education programs to millions of youth across the U.S., Colombia, and Kenya. Previously, she was also a founding member and executive director for an international nonprofit addressing girls’ education, overseeing dozens of school building and water systems projects in rural areas of Nepal and Kenya. She has also served as the director of marketing and communications at The World Food Bank, as a partner at Seeds For Change LLC, a full service consulting agency serving nonprofits, and as the director of marketing and communications at Meals on Wheels of Central Texas.
As the second-in-command at Well Aware, Andrews will lead the expansion of US operations, including overseeing all revenue and fundraising initiatives in addition to managing day-to-day operations at the Austin office while developing a strategy to ensure long-term success of the organization.
“Sarah is joining Well Aware at a critical time of growth for the organization, and I speak for the entire team when I say we’re happy to have her on board,” said Sarah Evans, founder of Well Aware. “Her expertise in nonprofit work and extensive background with both domestic and international organizations makes her the perfect fit for Well Aware and our future success.”
