#ShowerStrike is our biggest fundraiser of the year, but what IS #ShowerStrike??
This is our 16th year straight, striking showers and getting smelly for a cause. It all started during a very serious brainstorm about how this small group of people were going to raise enough funds for a water well in Kenya. When one of the members at the table said “ Why don’t we all stop showering, since Sarah [the founder] doesn’t shower anyway!”
and BOOM 💥 Shower Strike was born! 🚫 🚿
For one week (or 9 days this year 😉 ), our Strikers pledge to not shower until they’ve reached their fundraising goal; whether that’s $20, $200, $2,000, or $20,000!! SO the quicker you reach your goal, the faster you can shower OR increase your goal to keep the stink going. 😂
