2019 Global Impact Award: Dr. Karambu Ringera

The recipient demonstrates a passion and devotion to addressing the world’s most important social and humanitarian challenges.

The 2019 Global Impact Award Honors Dr. Karambu Ringera

Born and raised in Meru, Kenya, Dr. Karambu Ringera is a visionary, activist, and formidable force for change. She is known for her cutting-edge work in innovative and sustainable models of development, peace-building, women’s rights, and global leadership programs around the world. In 2018, Well Aware partnered with Dr. Ringera to bring clean water to her home community of Kithoka, including the IPI Amani Children’s Home, nearby primary and secondary schools, and the surrounding community of nearly 10,000 people.
