Continuing The Work

Together, we helped bring clean water to one community. Now, we’re helping it last for many more.

A Legacy that Continues

When we celebrated our 50th anniversary, we wanted to do something meaningful—something that would last far beyond the moment.

Thanks to so many of you, we raised $50,000 to help bring clean water to a community in East Africa. What started as an idea became something real. Something lasting. Something we’re incredibly grateful to have been part of with you.

But what we’ve learned since then is this: building a well is only the beginning.

Our Goal: $75,000

We’re personally committing to this effort again, and we’re inviting you to join us.

Each year, our personal goal is to donate $10,000 to support this ongoing work. Together, we can help protect something that’s already changing lives.

Our Next Commitment

Muthiga, Kenya

Food Program & Farming Expansion

With reliable water now flowing, the Muthiga community has a vision it is ready to act on: growing its own food. The community has outlined concrete plans to establish greenhouses and cultivate vegetables on school grounds — ensuring students receive regular, nutritious meals, reducing dependence on outside food sources.

What our support will deliver:

  • Water expansion to the greenhouse and vegetable cultivation on school grounds
  • Expanded kitchen gardens that grow with the program, building toward long-term nutritional self-sufficiency

A Look Back at What You Made Possible

Because of your support during our 50th milestone, a community now has access to clean water.

We’ve seen the difference firsthand. And it’s why we believe so strongly in continuing this work—not just starting something new, but sustaining what’s already been built.

About Well Aware

Well Aware is a 501(c)3 nonprofit with headquarters in Austin, Texas. They fund and implement lasting clean water systems to drive development and empower communities in East Africa.

Well Aware believes their responsibility to their partner communities goes far beyond the drilling of a hole. Nearly 60% of water projects in Africa fail, often within the first year. 100% of Well Aware’s water systems work and they last because of realistic, responsible planning and collaboration. Their partner communities are motivated, organized, and prepared communities who need only sustainable clean water to kick-start their success. That’s why Well Aware adapts each project according to the community’s specific needs and collaborates with local leaders to ensure the water system’s long-term success.

Thank You!

If you were part of this journey before, thank you. Truly. If you’re new to this story, we hope you’ll consider joining us. This isn’t just about building something—it’s about making sure it lasts. And that’s a legacy worth building together.
