Well Aware’s Classrooms to Clean Water program empowers the next generation of conscious global citizens through interactive classroom activities, leadership development, and engaging team fundraising activities.
Our presentations are short, engaging and educational. We can speak to a number of topics – including the technical engineering aspects of our work, sustainability, global water issues, and more. Available for in person and zoom!
For teachers whose students are reading A Long Walk for Water, Salva Dut was a Well Aware Impact Award winner in 2021!
We can work with you to develop experiential learning activities that suit your class and dive deep into water-related issues.
A favorite activity by many teachers is a Water Walk. In regions experiencing water scarcity, women and girls are responsible for water collection walking an average of 3.5 miles each day. By simulating this experience, students are able to tangibly understand what it’s like for other students that lack access to clean water.
We make it as easy as possible to teach your students how to make a difference in the world. By fundraising as a class for students, just like them, across the world, that don’t have access to clean water, you are enabling your students to make a visible impact. Getting involved this way also opens an opportunity for getting your school’s name on a clean water system in Kenya!
When we say it’s easy, we mean it! Every $20 raised gives 1 person clean water and sanitation for LIFE. See progress of current fundraising classrooms below.
