Investigation Site Visit
This service provides a comprehensive assessment by Well Aware’s technical team to evaluate community needs, existing infrastructure, and the feasibility of water system implementation.
Services Included:
- Preliminary Research & Planning – Review of existing reports and data, desk studies, remote community engagement, and preparation for the field visit
- On-Site Assessment – Field investigation including mapping, data collection, technical evaluation, and community engagement
- Final Reporting & Recommendations – Delivery of a written summary including findings, mapped infrastructure, potential implementation approaches, and next steps
Consulting Fee: $1,450 + Reimbursements
Note: Final pricing may vary based on size and scope of the investigation.
Hydrogeological Survey
This service includes a full hydrogeological evaluation to determine the viability of a deep borehole water source and provide expert recommendations for development.
Services Included:
- Pre-Survey Research & Coordination – Review of available data, geological mapping, and coordination with local contacts
- On-Site Hydrogeological Assessment – Conducting a detailed hydrogeological survey, evaluating nearby sources, and collecting key data
- Final Survey Report & Sealed Recommendations – Delivery of a formal sealed hydrogeological survey report with technical recommendations for next steps
Consulting Fee: $2,000 + Reimbursements

Community Training Site Visit
This service provides tailored, on-site training for community members to promote sustainability, health, and ownership of water systems.
Services Included:
- Training Preparation & Curriculum Development – Coordination with client on training objectives; preparation of tailored content
- On-Site Training Delivery – Facilitation of sessions such as:
- WASH (Water, Sanitation & Hygiene) best practices
- Water Committee setup and training
- System maintenance or agreed-upon subject matter
- Materials & Follow-Up Summary – Provision of handouts and materials; summary report on participation and key outcomes
Consulting Fee: $1,200 + Reimbursements
Note: Final pricing may vary based on size and scope of the training.
System Design Support
Technical design guidance tailored to the specific water solution being implemented.
Services May Include:
- Pump system specification and design
- Pipe layout and distribution planning
- Quote reviews and cost comparisons
- Water treatment recommendations
- Rainwater system design and recommendations
- Recommendations on equipment, materials, and sustainability factors
Fee Structure: Hourly or Lump Sum Based on Scope
Note: An estimate will be provided following a scoping consultation.
Construction Oversight & Implementation Support
Expert support during system construction or rehabilitation to ensure quality, efficiency, and sustainability.
Services May Include:
- Technical oversight of contractor work
- On-site quality assurance visits
- Verification of system specifications and installation standards
- Remote monitoring or guidance during project execution
Fee Structure: Hourly, Daily or Lump Sum Based on Scope + Team Travel Reimbursements
Customized estimate provided based on project size, location, and involvement level.
One-Time Diagnostic & Recommendations
A comprehensive one-time evaluation to identify issues affecting a community’s existing water system and provide actionable recommendations.
Services Include:
- Remote Assessment & Data Review – Interview with system users and review of any available system history or technical documentation
- On-Site Diagnostic Visit (if needed) – Inspection of system components (e.g. pump, tank, piping, taps), water output testing, and functionality analysis
- Final Report & Recommendations – Delivery of a diagnostic report with findings, short- and long-term repair recommendations, and estimated repair costs
Flat Fee: hourly or lump sum based on scope
Fee may vary based on location and complexity; site visit may not be required
