GRWM (Get Ready With Me), No Water Edition

The Challenge:
We all know how hard it can be to get ready in the mornings, but what if you weren’t able to use any clean water from the faucet while you were doing so? This video taps into the ever-popular GRWM videos, combining them with morning routine videos to showcase how often we find ourselves reaching for clean water. This video can include clips of how you will brush your teeth, clean your face, apply makeup, do your hair, make coffee/breakfast, etc. Once complete, nominate a friend, family member, colleague, etc. and tag them in your caption and video.

**Note: Be sure to include #ShowerStrike within the caption of your video.

Audio Recommendations:

It will likely be original audio recorded by you, but a song can be added underneath the audio at your discretion.

Text Overlay Recommendations/Key Points:

  • GRWM, #ShowerStrike Edition
  • For today’s GRWM, I’m joining Well Aware for their annual Shower Strike campaign and I’m going to show you how I get ready for the day using absolutely no water.
  • Did you know 1 in 7 people lack access to clean water? Can you imagine not having the water you need to drink, shower, cook, or clean?
  • Women and girls are responsible for collecting water in 80% of households. They often have to walk 3.5 miles each day, carrying a heavy jerrycan that weighs upwards of 40 lb. when full.
  • Raise awareness of the water crisis and support Well Aware as they implement clean water systems in communities across Kenya and Tanzania.
