What is the benefit of donating non-cash assets to Well Aware?

You can give assets you no longer need or want to manage without restricting your cash flow. Not only will you receive a fair market value deduction, but you can also avoid tax liability on the sale of appreciated assets.

How do I give from my trust or foundation?

You must contact your financial institution directly to request a grant to Well Aware. Keep in mind a trust or foundation may only provide the tax-deductible value of a donation. If any portion of your gift is not tax-deductible, as is the case when purchasing auction items or event tickets, you must donate the non-deductible portion in a different way, such as with a credit card or check.

What part of my gift is tax-deductible?

Most donations to Well Aware are 100% tax-deductible. However, there are some cases where this may not be true. For example, when purchasing auction items or event tickets, you receive a value, which is not tax-deductible. When this happens, you will receive a receipt breaking down the tax-deductible value.
