RELiON® Battery Partners With Nonprofit Well Aware To Provide Clean Water To Communities In Kenya

RELiON® Battery, a global leader in the development of lithium batteries, has announced a partnership with Well Aware, a nonprofit organization committed to funding and implementing clean water systems to drive development and empower communities in East Africa.

“Well Aware is helping solve a crucial issue and we are proud to be a part of such an important initiative,” said Danielle Ferguson, Brand Marketing Director, RELiON.” Over the next year, RELiON will impact more than 3,000 lives and provide lasting clean water for future generations. We look forward to seeing how our support will help communities in Kenya prosper for years to come.”

Well Aware is committed to building reliable, long-lasting water sources that will continue to provide clean water for life – enabling entire communities and future generations to thrive, grow and develop. Nearly one billion people lack access to clean water. The scarcity of clean water inhibits individuals, families and entire communities from leading healthy lives. Without clean water, education cannot thrive, gender inequality grows, economic activity becomes stagnant, and development is stifled. Since its inception in 2008, Well Aware has built 110 water systems with a 100% success rate, impacting more than 348,000 lives and increasing education rates by 34%.

“We are deeply grateful to RELiON for supporting Well Aware’s mission and helping make clean water a reality for more people in our partner communities in Kenya. Their partnership will enable a ripple effect of impact and profoundly change so many futures,” said Erinn Wright O’Donnell, Director of Development, Well Aware.

RELiON’s first supported water project is a rainwater catchment and UV purification system at Kwakatheke Primary School in Machakos County, Kenya, which will be completed in early 2023. To learn more about RELiON, please visit relionbattery.com
