Turning Pages into Progress: P&T Knitwear Supports Well Aware with 20% of Sales During World Water Week

AUSTIN, TX – Well Aware, a nonprofit organization delivering sustainable clean water systems to communities in need across East Africa, is thrilled to announce a special World Water Week partnership with P&T Knitwear, a family-owned independent bookstore in Manhattan’s Lower East Side.

From August 19 – 30, 2025, P&T Knitwear will feature a curated display of books highlighting water, sustainability, global equity, and community resilience. Twenty percent of all sales from these display books will be donated directly to Well Aware, helping fund life-changing clean water projects that transform entire communities.

“World Water Week is about uniting around one of the most urgent global issues,” said Dani Daspit, Well Aware Marketing Manager. “P&T Knitwear’s generosity is helping us expand our reach, while also sparking important conversations about the power of water and the stories behind it.”

Well Aware’s approach to clean water is grounded in true sustainability—ensuring that systems last for decades through technical expertise, community ownership, and ongoing support. To date, Well Aware has implemented 140 successful water projects, providing reliable, clean water to more than 575,000 people.
